December Favourites!

Hi everyone, I hope you all have had an amazing christmas and got to spend some quality time with your friends and family! I certainly did have a lovely christmas and boxing day with my family. My gorgeous little sister loved all of her presents off Santa as she was spoilt rotten! Thats what christmas is all about for me, seeing her face light up on the morning when she sees father christmas has paid a visit. We went round to my lovely aunties house for boxing day where all the family got together and had a good time. It made me realise that we need to get together more often and share more memories as at the end of the day, family is the most important. I am very lucky to have a beautiful family and I am going to make sure I make time to see more of them more often in the new year.

I am excited to post this 'December favourites' post as I have some gorgeous beauty products that I have been obsessed with this month! Some of them are gifts I got for christmas that I am in love with already and some are products I have loved using particularly in the cold wintery month of December.

I think I'll start with my favourite of them all! I mentioned these in my last post and thanks to my boyfriend , I am so lucky to have got these as a gift! These are the Mac objects of affection pigments in Bronze. Ohh myy! Just look at them , I am in love ...Very well done Mac! Not only is the packaging perfection, but the colours are stunning! In this set , you get 4 pigments and one glitter. I honestly don't know how my boyfriend knew to get these for me .. Bless his lovely heart.. I think he pays extra attention to anything I mention when it comes to Christmas as I am one of those girls that don't like asking for anything of him or telling him what I like , but somehow he always does so well.

Above are some swatches of the pigments. As you can see they are truly stunning and very pigmented ! They almost have a metallic finish that looks stunning on the eye with black gel liner! From left to right in the picture , the pigments are : Melon, Naked deep dark, copper, 3D copper ( glitter ) and last chocolate brown. These are my first ever Mac pigments so I am over the moon.

I recieved two Mac blushes , one from my boyfriend and one from my kind mother. They are actually very similar in colour only the one on the right in the shade Ambering rose is more shimmery and has chunkier glitter in. The blush on the left is a Pro longwear blush in the shade 'Make you mine'

Above are swatches of Ambering rose and Make you mine , the shimmery one on the top is Ambering rose ; a gorgeous sheertone shimmer blush with gold glitter in-great for girly nights out!  The blush is beautifully pigmented and looks very illuminating on the skin. Make you mine is a Pro longwear blush and it certainly does live up to the mark; it lasts all day
( even during my busy days at work ) It does not have chunky glitter in but does have small flecks of rose gold in that highlights the skin beautifully. Both blushes are stunning and have deep peach undertones to them. I'd say they'd suit olive/ tan to dark skintones , possibly lighter skintones but with a very light hand.

These two beautiful lipsticks had to be in my December favourites ! As you probably know from my previous posts, I LOVE dark lips for fall , well for anytime of year if I'm honest but fall is when you can really get away with a dark lip without being looked at strange ( girls you know what I mean)

Viva Glam III is a gorgeous Matt lipstick; it is a perfect dark mauve lipstick with reddy brown undertones . This lipstick is creamy and as all the mac lipsticks I've used , it never fails to last all day long!
Rebel is a very famous Mac lipstick, one of the most popular purple lipsticks in fact! It is similar to Diva in the fact that it's a dark purple , but diva has more of a red undertone. I would say rebel is more of a vibrant purple/pink undertone but still comes off dark and vampy. Rebel is a satin finish; it does look slightly glossy but feels lovely on the lips and lasts all day too!  I absolutely love wearing these lipsticks - I think lipsticks are my favourite!

I got this brow gel in my September Glossy box but I never found a love for it up until now. I love the small brush that allows easy access to apply the product. The brow gel is tinted dark brown and adds a great fuller appearance to my brows.

What can I say , I love this concealer!! This is the Age rewind concealer from Maybelline in the shade light. I have used this concealer constantly under my eyes and on the high points of the face on myself and clients for a gorgeous highlight. I still use the prolongwear concealer from Mac to conceal imperfections on the face as always , but this maybelline concealer is light and great for highlighting.

This is the Telescopic extra black mascara from Lorèal; I adore this product! This mascara is her black , and I mean black! It has a skinny long brush which may look strange , but I honestly have never got better results from any other mascara ever before . This produces curled , volumised and long lengthened lashes that really opens up the eye and makes such a difference. I will forever be re purchasing this product - I love finding great drugstore products and saving moneyyyyy!

This is a cream blush from Gosh , a drugstore product that I love using. It is perfect for those natural make up looks when you aren't going for anything dramatic , but still want to look fresh and healthy. I have loved using this cream blush on those days when it's been too cold and rainy to bother doing fancy gorgeous make up, and the great thing is it takes two seconds to glide on the cheeks and blend out with your fingers!

Finally, my last three beauty products are body and haircare ones. Like most girls I am a huge fan of soap and glory! I use soap and glory all year round but the ' Scrub of your life ' and ' Hand food ' products have been my favourite this month for winter. I hate having dry cold hands from the cold weather so I always keep a travel size hand food in my bag! It's a great nourishing hand cream that really moisterises and revives the hands.

The scrub of your life is an amazing body scrub ! I'd say body scrubs are my favourite body product as I love using them and coming out of the bath with literally new skin!! This scrub genuinely makes my skin feel as smooth as a baby and I adore it!

Lastly, the haircare product I am loving his month is Umberto Giannini's Flirty Curls scrunching jelly...  I have naturally curly hair that can get pretty crazy and hard to handle at times so I have always been one to adore staraughtebing my hair with ghds ... However , the last few weeks I have decided to embrace my natural curly hair so it was a must that I invested in something that will tame and look after my curls so I don't scare of my friends and family hahaa! This jelly seems to tame frizziness and it helps hold my curls all day , I love it! It's a must have for us curly sue's out there!

Wow ! I have just realised how long this post is ... It's clear I love to talk about makeup! I'd like to say thank you very much if you did actually read this post right to the end and I'd love to hear your December favourites in the comments box below , or even let me know your opinions on the products I have mentioned!

I hope you all have a fantastic new year and may 2015 bring you all the happiness and pretty makeup in the world! Lots of love xxx

Last minute beauty christmas gift ideas !

Hi everybody , I hope your all well and in the Christmas spirit , it's finally December ! It feels great to be writing this blog post as I haven't wrote for so long! Novemeber certainly was not a good month for me as I was sick with tonsilitis for two weeks and then the sickness bug straight after:( I'm back now and I am so excited for Christmas so I felt a 'last minute gift ideas' blog post would be very useful for all you last minute shoppers.
Of course since my blog is all about beauty , the gift ideas I'm suggesting will be perfect for anyone who is a makeup/ beauty lover!

Can I start off by saying - HOW amazing are the Keepsake sets that M.A.C have brought out this year, is it just me or are they better than anything they've brought out before !? They are so gorgeous; the sets come in white, grey or black glittery packaging for you to choose from and are finished with beaded pearl trimmings. Who wouldn't love them!?

I think these would be a perfect gift for someone who is a makeup artist as the products will be a lovely edition to their kit. They are great for lovers of MAC as they could  have had these products before and may want to try out different shades!

•MAC Brush kits - £42
•MAC Keepsake eye palette - £32
•MAC Lip and eye bag £45
•MAC Face palette - £42
•MAC Objects of affection (pigments, lip glosses) £26

Benefit cosmetics also sell amazing gift sets for makeup lovers and they always come in really pretty, colourful packaging each year.  They have makeup gift sets and also skincare sets too. The house shaped packaging as seen in the above picture are made out of tin, so they they great to re use and keep for storage !

Benefit is loved by many people of all ages because their products work on all skintypes no matter what age you are . Their gift sets are great value for money and include a variety of samples of their best selling products. They have a high reputation for particular products such as 'They're real mascara ' as it is the No.1 selling mascara in the UK for the past two years and the one and only 'Hoola' bronzer !

They have a number of different sets so be sure to check them out at your nearest Benefit counter as they will be selling out fast since Christmas is around the corner . I have picked my top three sets that I would recommend :

Sugarglam Fairies - £44.50
Kit includes :
•They're real mascara
•the POREfessional
• Hoola bronzer
•Benetint

Cheeky sweet spot - £29.50 ( this is the first time Benefit has put all their powders together in one gift set)

Kit includes :
•Hoola bronzer
•Dandelion blush
•CORAlista blush
•Bella Bamba blush
•Rockateur blush
•Sugarbomb blush
•Watt's up! ( highlighter)

B.right! Radiant skincare set - £14.50

Kit includes:
•Foamingly clean facial wash
•Refined finish facial polish
•Moisture prep toning lotion
•Triple performing facial emulsion
•it's potent eye cream
( these are all sample sized quantities)

Finally, my best peace of advice in terms of getting more for your money is Boots! Every year they stock up on great gift sets including brands like Soap and glory, Sanctuary, No.7 ... And they are all 3 for 2! It is a great way to buy multiple presents for your family and friends whilst saving money. I always go to Boots for Christmas shopping as they always have great deals on for men and women.

Smaller ideas for sticking fillers and small presents for a makeup lover could possibly be a lipstick, mascara or even makeup brushes! Crown and Real Technique brushes are very affordable yet too quality and you are sure not to go wrong with those !

I hope my last minute list will help some people as I know Christmas can be a crazy time where everyone is out shopping till they drop!

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and remember to spend time with your loved ones as that is what Christmas is all about, not the presents! There's nothing better than having the family altogether with a happy Christmas atmosphere.

Do comment on this post if you have any great ideas for last minute Christmas gift ideas that I haven't mentioned; I'm sure there are still lost parents and boyfriends searching the internet for things they can still go buy ! Lots of love, take care Xxx
